The release date for the new DC animated film Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part 1 has been updated.

DC announced two new 2024 animated films (Watchmen and Crisis on Infinite Earths) at San Diego Comic-Con to complement the 2024 live-action film Joker: Folie à Deux. Announced in 2023.

However, confusion arose when the new Justice League animated film was introduced as a "DC Universe film," which was later refuted by DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn. 
The release date for Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part 1 has been updated to January 24, 2024, according to a new listing on Amazon France. This listing shows direct releases on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD. All that was known before this possibility was confirmed was that the animated film would be released sometime in 2024. This date could end up being a placeholder, meaning he won't be available exactly on January 24th, but it does point to an early release in 2024.

As the title suggests, this is part 1 of a broader story from DC Comics. Warner Bros. has announced "Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths" as a sequel to "Justice League: Warworld" as part of the "Crisis" trilogy, with animation director Mike Milo He admitted his involvement in "Crisis I, II, and III."

A new trailer for the animated movie ``Justice League'' has also been released. In it, Justice Leagues from multiple universes unite to stop the destruction of the DC Multiverse. 
During DC Studios' first official presentation, Warner Bros. said: Although it's the latest attempt to take on Marvel Studios, there's no mention of a future live-action Justice League movie.

Considering the drama and controversy surrounding the release of Justice League in 2017, which led to the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut campaign by fans, it's understandable why a reboot isn't a top priority. 
Gunn confirmed that the DC Studios film will not go into production until the script is fully written.

Don't get me wrong, Gunn and producer Peter Safran want to build a fully realized big-screen DC Universe, but it seems like patience is paramount. Critic and audience reactions to Superman: Legacy in 2025 will be an important indicator of the future of film.

In addition to live-action movies, the new DCU will also host TV shows, animated series, and video games. This is not the case for the upcoming animated film Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths, which fans can enjoy in this context.
